Our 7th annual Be A Tiger For Kids event was one to remember, thanks to the support of our 3,200 attendees, who helped raise much needed scholarship funds for the over 500 children who attend Cornerstone Schools.
The evening began at the Rock-n-Roar tailgate where the crowd danced away to the live set performed by the Simone Vitale Band. Food was prepared by Andiamo, beverages were provided by Pepsi and snacks were provided by Starbucks, PeTeet’s Famous Cheesecake and Kar’s Nuts
The rain didn’t stand a chance against our broad and beloved community who were out in full force to attend the tailgate and cheer on the Detroit Tigers who pulled out a 5-3 win over the Toronto Blue Jays.
A highlight to the evening was the pre-game ceremony that recognized several partners and students for their participation in the Partner Program. The ceremony included several Cornerstone Leadership and Business High School students who are giving selflessly of their time as a mentor to a Cornerstone Kindergarten student. This ceremony was followed by a special performance by the Cornerstone Honors Choir of the national anthem written by Cornerstone alumnus, Joshua Davis. Cornerstone Partner, Dr. Joe Lupo, Cornerstone Teacher, Larry Jaminet, and a friend of Cornerstone, Julie Klima, all threw out ceremonial first pitches.
All in all, the event was a truly memorable. We hope that you will join us next year and Be A Tiger for Kids!

We are very grateful to everyone who supported the Be A Tiger For Kids event. The evening would not have been possible without our event sponsors:
