Mothers’ Fund - Cornerstone Schools
The Cornerstone Mothers’ Fund honors the critical role mothers play in the success of their children. As a child’s first teacher, it is the life lessons learned from their mother that carry over into school. Mothers influence the culture of learning and have a direct correlation on their child’s achievement.

To support mothers to teach their children to read in their early years (ages 3-7), we’ve designed the Early Readers program, a series of free workshops that provide tools for encouraging early reading activities at home. We’re inviting mothers and families – whether they are currently enrolled in Cornerstone or not –  to join us in a nurturing and supportive community designed to help them succeed. Our focus is developing readers in kindergarten through second grade and improving academic outcomes year over year.

Your gift will help us reach our $3M goal for the Mothers’ Fund. Once met, a 5% distribution will be taken annually to cover the operating costs of Early Readers. Since only a portion of the income earned is spent on these operational costs, any additional growth is reinvested, allowing your gift to grow and support mothers in perpetuity! "My mother was and remains my role model. Knowledge and wisdom transcended her life. She was a scholar and an artist. She loved to read. It opened up the world to her and demonstrated the power of reading to me. She was my first teacher." - Ernestine Sanders, 28-year Cornerstone Schools educational leader
